Frequently asked questions
FAQ's
How does the “Online Presentation” work?
Once we have received your measurements and “wish list” our experienced designers will create initial concepts on our Articad graphics programme . We will then book an appointment for the presentation at a time when you could be online on your PC. We will then email you a web address and session number. Once you are logged in you will see our designer’s PC desktop - although you may be in Somerset and we are ain Lancashire. At this time plans and 3D views will be shown to you demonstrating your “Dream” kitchen. Alterations will be discussed and conducted online at which stage the project can be priced.
How is payment made?
Once you have agreed to proceed, a sales order/invoice will be created at which time a deposit of 35% will be required which can be paid either by credit card, switch, cheque or bank transfer. The week previous to delivery, once dates have been agreed, the balance will be required.
Is VAT included in the prices?
Yes!
What is the difference between “Self Assembly” and “Assembled”?
“Self Assembly” means the kitchen cabinets require building on site (this is quite often preferred in situations where many tall housings are being fitted and/or there is difficult access or storage restrictions) - as these are factory made this is not a difficult operation as full instructions come with each pack – time wise, they will usually take 4 or 5 hours to build up. ”Assembled” kitchens are built at the factory complete with the “doors on” and obviously this saves time when it comes to fitting and therefore will reduce the cost of the fit, if you are paying a fitter to do the installation. There is an extra cost for this service which is 17% of the cost of the cabinets only. (example £2500 of kitchen cabinets would cost £437 to factory build)
How is delivery made?
The kitchen manufacturer will deliver the kitchen in their own vehicles. (unless you live in the extremities of the mainland UK, where alternatives may have to be used). A date will be agreed that fits all parties and a delivery time of day will be given the day previous to delivery once transport schedules have been set. You will need help to assist the driver to unload as his role is to get the product to your front door only.
He will help you check off the components from the wagon.
Delivery is included in our price.
How quickly can my new kitchen be delivered?
Once you have placed your order the kitchen can be delivered in 14 days.
What happens if part of the kitchen doesn’t fit?
We will do everything in our power to supply you with working drawings that are appropriate to the dimensions supplied by you. Will also ask you to have the dimensions checked by whoever is to fit your kitchen and therefore every part we supply will fit to those drawings created from the dimensions supplied. Occasionally something unforeseen (like pipe work etc.) means a cabinet will have to be altered by the fitter to a smaller size. An appropriate sized door can then be ordered and refitted quite easily.
Are all brackets etc. included in the kitchen price?
Yes, wall fixing brackets, wall plates, base fixing brackets, cams, dowels, legs, hinges and handles are all included, although you will need to purchase rawlplugs and fixing screws.
Do you offer help with measuring?
If you are not confident with measuring we offer “phone assistance” and we will talk you through the procedure. If this is not sufficient we suggest asking local tradesman to do the measure or better still the person who is to fit the kitchen. If you wish to have the room professionally measured and surveyed we can supply one of our technical staff to travel to your home at a cost of £250.
What guarantee/Warranty comes with my kitchen?
Every cabinet has a five year guarantee, the quality of the furniture is considered to be amongst the best in the industry. The FIRA (Furniture Industry Research Association) Gold Award has been awarded for the excellence of the product range of furniture has been evaluated for fitness for purpose, quality and workmanship.
I understand that there are many differing quality kitchens out there, how good are yours?
Visit any top high street kitchen showroom and there you will see top quality kitchens that ours will match and in most cases surpass. These are far superior in quality to those offered by what the trade affectionately call “the sheds” (you know who I mean the superstore/DIY operations) who sell on price rather than quality. Click4kitchens is your opportunity to get the best of both worlds
I’ve made a mistake with my order, how can I rectify the problem?
Your kitchen is made to order, and as such once construction commences it is too late to cancel any item and you remain liable for the full costs. Changes without penalty can normally be made to your order up to two weeks prior to delivery, but it is not guaranteed that a charge will not be made. Additions to your order can be made any time.
Can I see some samples before I make my order?
Not every one is content to order a kitchen without seeing a sample of the door they like. You can order a sample door from us at 715 x 596 (we suggest this size as it can be used to cover an integrated appliance).
Who will help me if I have an issue fitting the kitchen?
You can call us and speak to one of our technical staff who have over 40years of experience in fitting this range.
What about returns policy?
Manufacturing faults are returned without issue, however any items over-ordered or ordered incorrectly cannot be returned as the manufacturer has made your kitchen to order.
How big is the void for gas and water pipes behind cabinets?
We have a 50mm void on all our base and tall units. Our built-under oven and built in fridge carcasses have no backs for heat dissipation from the appliances and somewhere for the electrical cable or gas supply pipe to access when you slide the appliance into place.
